Stefan Kuehr is the Regional Vice President, DACH & Nordics Marriott International

Stefan Kuehr is Regional Vice President for Marriott International in the DACH region and the Nordics, overseeing both managed and franchised hotels across the Premium and Select Service brands.

With a career in international hospitality spanning nearly 30 years, Stefan is well known for his strategic, entrepreneurial and commercially minded approach.  Before assuming his current position, Stefan held many international roles for Marriott, including serving as Market Vice President for Turkey, Jordan and Kuwait and prior to that as Market Vice President for Qatar.

Stefan joined Marriott in 2018 as Market Vice President for Russia and CIS, and spent over 10 years as General Manager in luxury and premium hotels.  He is an expert in navigating diverse cross cultural business environments having worked for both corporate entities and independent business owners throughout his career.

Originally from Austria, Stefan earned a Diploma in E-Commerce & General Management from University of Applied Science Kufstein and prior to that Diplomas in Tourism and Hotel Management from Tourism College Wilder Kaiser.

Stefan now resides back in Austria with his family and enjoys trail running and skiing. He is fluent in German, English and Russian.
