Marriott International celebrates the 50th anniversary of Amsterdam Marriott Hotel, the company’s first hotel in Europe, and first hotel outside of North America. From a single opening in 1975, the company has grown tremendously in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region over the past 50 years. Today, Marriott International has over 1,300 properties, 29 distinct brands, and a presence in 80 countries and territories across the region. The EMEA region pipeline has grown to 583 hotels, representing over 100,000 rooms, as of Q1 2025. Throughout Amsterdam Marriott Hotel’s 50 years of operation, it has continued to be a reliable presence in an ever-changing city and has remained true to its core values, offering a blend of classic hospitality, strategic innovation, and a dedicated, close-knit team. Dozens of staff have remained with the hotel over the decades, some for 45 years, and the hotel has produced many future leaders for the company.

Tribute Portfolio, Tribute Portfolio, Marriott Bonvoy’s growing collection of characterful, independent hotels, has welcomed Billesley Manor Hotel & Spa, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Warwickshire, England. Set within 11 acres of tranquil Warwickshire parkland, the hotel is housed in a Grade II-listed Elizabethan manor, inviting guests to connect with centuries of storytelling and timeless English heritage. Built in 1599, the manor famously hosted William Shakespeare, who was rumoured to have written As You Like It during his stay, and features an 11th-century All Saints Church, where he is believed to have married Anne Hathaway. Today, the hotel blends its storied past with contemporary design, offering 71 thoughtfully appointed suites and guestrooms, each featuring modern furnishings with deep blue and gold accents, and curated artwork that celebrates local culture and landscape. Guests can savour seasonal flavours and locally sourced produce at The Stuart Restaurant, or unwind with local ales or classic cocktails in the oak-panelled Great Hall Bar. Housed in a landmark building dating back to 1925, the hotel offers a curated blend of 1920s elegance and contemporary comfort, overlooking the historic Plaza del Ayuntamiento – often called the “cathedral of pyrotechnics” during the famed Fallas festival. Prince de Galles, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Paris, celebrates the centenary of the Art Deco movement with its exclusive “Unlocking Art Deco” experience, honouring the hotel’s legacy as a beacon of Parisian elegance since 1929. Nestled on Avenue George V near the Champs-Élysées, this historic hotel, designed by André Arfvidson and rich in original Art Deco details, offers guests a guided tour of Paris’s most iconic Art Deco landmarks. The tour includes access to the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, a pioneering Art Deco monument, and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, which houses treasures from the 1925 Exposition that defined the movement. Le Méridien Ra Beach Hotel & Spa, located an hour’s drive south of Barcelona on the Costa Dorada, has unveiled a stunning renovation of its spa, restaurant and bar in preparation for the newly extended 2025 season, running from late April to early December. The renovations, inspired by Mediterranean design, include a 7,200-square-metre rooftop Thermal Experience Circuit, a refreshed design for the main restaurant and the creation of a new Destination Bar in the heart of the hotel. The rooftop seawater Thermal Experience Circuit offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean, in addition to a 900-square-metre terrace equipped with hydrotherapy zones, setting a new standard for wellness in the Costa Dorada region. The new restaurant and bar spaces draw inspiration from natural elements and local geology and use materials like marble and terrazzo to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The extended season marks the longest for the hotel in over thirteen years, showcasing Le Méridien Ra Beach Hotel & Spa’s position as a leading destination on the Costa Dorada.
