Moxy Hotels has announced the opening of Moxy Tromsø in Northern Norway, which is now the northernmost property across Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio. Located above the Arctic Circle, Tromsø is famed for its beautiful landscapes and unique natural phenomena, including mesmerising Northern Light displays in the winter and summer adventures benefiting from the midnight sun. Designed by Danish designers Mette Fredskild Studio, Moxy Tromsø combines stylish, industrial design and sociable service at an accessible price point so that guests can save on space and splurge on experiences. Before checking into one of the 208 smartly designed rooms, guests check in at the top floor with a complimentary ‘Got Moxy’ cocktail or mocktail at Sky Bar Moxy, the hotel’s social heart which also serves as the front desk. MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH DELAWARE INVESTMENT LIMITED TO LAUNCH LUXURY SAFARI LODGE IN THE SERENGETI

 

 

 

 

 

Marriott International has announced that it has signed an agreement with Delaware Investment Limited to open its first JW Marriott luxury safari lodge in the Serengeti, Tanzania. Expected to open in 2026, the lodge will be situated within the Serengeti National Park, a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most renowned safari destinations in Africa, home to endless plains, the incredible Great Migration and some of the largest herds on the planet. Sitting between the Grumeti and Mbalageti rivers, benefitting from the abundant wildlife that accesses the rivers to the north and south, JW Marriott Serengeti Lodge is expected to offer 30 private suites, including two presidential suites, all of which will benefit from their own swimming pool and deck area. Additionally, extensive food, beverage and meeting facilities are planned. JW Marriott Serengeti Lodge will mark the brand’s second luxury safari lodge in Africa, following the opening of JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge earlier this year in the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.

MOXY PLYMOUTH SAILS INTO THE MILLBAY REGENERATION AREA

 

 

 

Moxy Hotels has unveiled Moxy Plymouth, marking the second Moxy Hotel in Southwest England. Located within the new multi-million regeneration area at Millbay, Moxy Plymouth features an inventive design inspired by the historic docks built by the world-renowned Isambard Kingdom Brunel in 1844. On arrival, guests are welcomed in a nautically themed lobby inspired by the rich maritime history beyond, where the bar doubles as a check-in with a complimentary Moxy signature cocktail or mocktail on arrival. Murals adorn the walls depicting local landmark Smeaton’s Tower as well as ships and fishing scenes, while the lighting incorporates fishing nets and a star constellation on the ceiling complements the dark blue and muted neutral tones. Rissai Valley, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve has opened in Jiuzhaigou, a valley on the edges of the Qinghai-Tibet plateau in China's Southwestern Sichuan province.
